 Ministry Expenses
What follows are some expense estimates to help you figure out what it will cost you to visit us in the Dominican Republic.  I believe it will surprise you how little it will cost your team.

Airfare: Beginning with $400 U.S. to $650 U.S. in the Southeast for airfare per person, I believe this will be your heaviest expense.  Of course from outside the SE costs can rise.  Each team is responsible for obtaining their flight reservations.  *Note: Add a $10 visa entry fee, and also a $10 exit airport tax per person.

Food and Lodging:
Rates vary according to the level of accommodations.  A good starting rate is about $28 per person per day.  This price includes three meals per day.  Thus a one-week trip would be $196 in expenses for food and lodging.  These are usually humble but clean surroundings with excellent home-style meals.  There is also higher cost accomodations available with hot water and a/c beginning at $30 per person-no meals included.   Some teams will plan for the last day or two at an all inclusive beach resort-$50 -80 per person.
Ground Transportation: A good figure starts at about $125 per week per person.  Special outings may mean additional costs, depending on distance and times.

Ministry Expenses:
Construction teams and medical teams of course have material expenses that need to be covered.  Some teams tack on a ministry amount that must be raised to cover these costs.  These are arrived at by looking at the prospective project and its cost.  VBS and children's ministries need to bring in their materials or else think about bringing funds to cover their anticipated expenses.

Misc. Expenses: It is good to carry extra funds for unforeseen expenses.
