Home on Furlough!

Praise the Lord, we are settled in at our place in Titusville, Florida.  After visiting about sixty or seventy garage sales we finally have the makings of a home, complete with a microwave and even a dishwasher.  And yes, our house has hot water (what a luxury).  A special treat to living in the U.S. is the electricity -- the lights haven't gone out since we've been here!  We are used to 8-12 hours without lights daily.  I keep expecting my computer to go out as I'm writing.  It's part of reverse culture shock.

Roads seem so wide and quiet, driving is actually enjoyable, and we are doing lots of it.  Almost every weekend we are on the road.  Last week it was Springfield, Missouri, the week before we were in Monroe, NC and now next weekend we'll be in Columbia, SC.  We are on the trail of raising faith pledges.  Our goals are to thank supporters and let them know what has been accomplished since we left for the Dominican Republic nine years ago.  Also we want to encourage them to continue to support this ministry.  We have about a third of our pledges raised as of the writing of this letter.  It will take the help of God's people to reach our budget.  We are believing the Lord for a July return date.

Dear friends, we are asking that you prayerfully consider making a monthly pledge to help us with Missions support.  Enclosed with this newsletter you will find a pledge card.  If God is leading you to commit to helping us, please return this card with your offering in the envelope provided.  You will receive a tax deductible receipt.  We are hoping some of you will also consider raising the amount of your pledge at this time.  Thank you for your faithfulness!  We appreciate and pray for you.  Please keep in touch.

  Happy Thanksgiving!
